Through partnerships with law enforcement, Empowerment Access Foundation (EAF) provides Dignity Bags for use during operations. These bags serve as a vital reminder of humanity and respect for survivors, offering comfort and care in a difficult moment.

Each bag includes essential items such as:

  • Water

  • Snack bar

  • T-shirt

  • Socks

  • Makeup wipes

  • Prepaid phone cards or phones (when available, to replace phones taken for evidence)

Dignity Bags ensure that survivors have something to wear, something to eat and drink, and a small moment of care before being processed. At EAF, we believe it’s not just about the arrest—it’s about honoring the dignity and humanity of every individual.

Availability:
These bags can be provided to any law enforcement agency in Nevada, Florida, and select areas of California.

💼 Emergency Backpack Program
Partnering with law enforcement and outreach teams, we distribute backpacks filled with:
  • Emergency clothing
  • Hygiene items
  • First aid supplies
  • Resource information
  • Prepaid phone cards or phones (when available)

🧭 Survivor-Centered Case Coordination
We deploy trauma-informed staff:
  • Meet survivors in the field (at hotels, jails, shelters, or directly via law enforcement)
  • Conduct needs assessments
  • Assist with safety planning
  • Connect survivors to shelter, medical care, legal support, and therapy

🧾 Direct Financial Aid & Navigation
Our advocates and volunteers help clients:
  • Access victim compensation
  • Apply for benefits (Medicaid, SNAP, etc.)
  • Cover urgent expenses that prevent crisis (e.g., childcare, medical, transportation)
  • Cover medical/dental/vision expenses that hinder the survivor’s path to self-sufficiency
  • First month’s rent or deposit
  • Short-term lodging (emergency basis)
  • Transportation support (bus passes, rideshare, or used car down payments)

🧑‍🏫 Empowerment Through Employment
We offer:
  • 1:1 mentorship from resume building to job placement

Coming Soon to Northern Nevada

We fund access to trauma recovery programs including:
  • Equine therapy
  • Nature-based wellness retreats
  • Trauma counseling by licensed providers

Empowerment Access works in partnership with:
  • Law enforcement task forces
  • Child Protective Services/Department of Children and Family Services in FL, CA, and NV
  • Community Based Care Agencies
  • Healthcare providers
  • Local nonprofits and safe houses
We fill in the gaps where traditional services fall short, ensuring survivors are never left behind.
